An ordinary Tuesday evening. Warmer than usual. I have cooked dinner. It’s time to do the dishes. I notice colourful flowers outside my kitchen window. I have never seen them before. They must be loving the sunshine as much as I do.
Dishes can wait. I am going to operate inspired by a lovely Mel Robbins and her 5-second rule. I get my camera. Yes! The battery is charged. I go outside.
A gentleman from the next door peeks out to look at the crazy girl on her knees doing strange things. We exchange hellos. I have never seen him before. I am trying to focus. Waiting for ants to crawl and spiders to say ‘hello’.
Zooming in and out. Bending and kneeling, stopping my breathing to get a restless ant into my shot. I am startled by a bark. Nearly gave me a heart attack. My neighbour smiles. It’s just Daisy.
Love your close-up shots. Very nicely done.
