BBC’s Britain’s Biggest Spenders programme made me realise I could be spending up to £600 a year just for my latte breaks. That could cover 120 nights in a super cheap hostel in Bangkok, or buy 600 pad thai plates, or an expensive handbag. Where do people spend their money these days? Do you need to pay to get some Pokemon Go lives?
Coffee shops are exciting. They smell beautiful, they are full of sugar and mysterious sounds and they make everyone look so pretty. Caffeine shades in place. Nothing like watching a barista make my coffee. Cherry On Top if barista is a cute boy with slender looking fingers. Any finger lovers out there?
I found myself sitting in the coffee shop on Sunday morning and watching the world go by. Two hours later I headed to the queens and on my way back I looked down and saw the staircase. It reminded me of French movies.
Next time you are somewhere new or old, please, look up and down, left and right. You might see something magnificent. It could also be something you have seen too many times, but your eyes might surprise you.
Vanilla. Cinnamon. Gingerbread. Sour. Strangers. Busy Shoppers. Lost souls. Cappuccino. Almond. Barista. Coffee. Addiction. Money. Flavours. Dreams. Caramel. Sprinkles. Cream. Muffin. Jazz. Chairs. Filter. Sepia. Crusty. Croissant. Fresh. Chocolate. Peppermint.
Because of the drug coffee which you described the staircase probably looked even more beautiful. Got to go now my coffee is brewing!
