Plain Brave Honesty

We met in the cave. You encouraged me to jump. I am scared of heights. You said I was funny and cool. You called me a mud mermaid. We soaked our feet in tea. We sipped cheap brandy. You introduced me to the best burgers in the world. You shared your love story. You asked me questions that hurt and gave me the most genuine hug.

When was the last time you were really honest? What do you do when you meet strangers? Do you smile? Do you try to be someone better than you think YOU ARE?

One of the things that I really love about travelling is the ability to meet the most amazing people from all over the world. A nosy spirit coupled with some tough questions can get you unknown places.

It can be scary.  But please let yourself be honest, open and vulnerable. Magic may happen. The truth is you are amazing and good enough the way you are.

Imagine the world where it is OK to share the moments when you feel down for no reason, unmotivated, ungrateful and struggle to get out of bed.

The world where sadness and happiness stand in line and everyone accepts it without judging.

The world with no filters. The place where you go through life doing what you love instead of thinking what others are going to say about you. The world where you do not need to hide your feelings.

The mind where you hold no regrets or grudges, you let yourself be bare, weird and vulnerable.

Some people might call it utopia. I see it as a beautiful plant I need to water and look after to see it blossom.

Please, enjoy your profound conversations xx

Beautifully written. I love this: “Imagine the world where it is OK to share the moments when you feel down for no reason, unmotivated, ungrateful and struggle to get out of bed.” We have so much power and love to help each other. It’s courageous.
